KEY PRINCIPLES FROM THIS MESSAGE:
Before you speak, check to see if you are walking by the Spirit (vs. your flesh), and then choose your words wisely, seeking reconciliation for all parties to God. With unbelievers, the goal is evangelism. With fellow believers, it’s realignment with God’s will.
The Holy Spirit Is Using You – blog 10/11/25
Every one of us has received a gift from God, empowered by His Spirit, to build up the Body of Christ. This means that every last one of us must reject our own self-doubt and the lies from the kingdom of darkness telling us we’re not capable of having impact, that we’re not “good enough” to be used by the Holy Spirit to God’s glory.
If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
– Isaiah 58:10
When we serve others out of love we are like beacons on a hill, saying, “Come and see the glory of the Lord!” Our lives often speak louder than even our words!
Love is an action word. This is how others know you are Christ’s own.
A changed heart is an inspired heart!
We shouldn’t be celebrating changed actions; rather, we should be celebrating changed hearts!
Do you possess a Biblically inspired, godly servant’s love for NCC and its members?
How do we, as a community, deal with sin in the church?
The end goal of discipline is PEACE!
Sin in a local assembly is frustrating to peace. It also dims the light which we, as a church, are to shine forth into our community.
4 Steps of Church Discipline
- Private Consult (Mt 18:15; Gal 6:1)
- 2-3 Witnesses Consult (Mt 18:16; Deu 19:15)
- Church Consult (Mt 18:17; 1Co 6:1-6)
- Ejection from the Church (Mt 18:17; 1Co 5:13)
We are to deal with sin like a family. We keep it within the family by identifying, judging, and disciplining, as required.
