OUTLINE:
Mt 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“transformed”
from – metamorphoo [meta = “change after being with” + morphoo = “changing form in keeping with inner reality”]; means being changed on the outside to conform with what’s on the inside; refers to experiential sanctification (e.g. purification); the mind is in view here, in context.
1Co 7:17
Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.
1Co 10:31b
…whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Isa 42:8
I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.
Isa 43:7
everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
Rom 11:36
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
Rev 4:11
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
1Co 4:7 [Message]
For who do you know that really knows you, knows your heart? And even if they did, is there anything they would discover in you that you could take credit for? Isn’t everything you have and everything you are sheer gifts from God? So what’s the point of all this comparing and competing?
Does it Even Matter? – blog 11/5/21
If you’re boasting in something within the purview of Satan’s scale of values, and you are doing so to boost your own self-esteem, then you are in the Spirit’s crosshairs as you read this! You are in bondage because you think such things matter.
1Co 7:17
Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.
Ecc 12:13 [Amplified Classic]
All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing who He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of his creation, the object of God’s providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man.
Your life on Earth is meant to bring glory to God, not yourself.
Jas 1:5-6 [Message]
If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
Options – Blog – 8/18/17
One of the most destructive forces in a human’s life is when a person believes they have options. If every good thing is from God (James 1:17) then there’s really only one good option, God’s will.
