OUTLINE:
The Mind of Christ
The Bible, as a whole, is the very mind of Christ. We don’t just “hear” from Jesus Christ when we read red letters in our Bibles. The Bible is His Word, mind, thoughts, heart.
Religious Perversion
The Jewish leaders had made the Sabbath (Ex 20:8) part of a religious works program, which ultimately became the OPPOSITE of God’s intended result – it enslaved those it was meant to give rest to! It became work to KEEP the Sabbath under Jewish law.
The Immutable Mind of Christ
Jesus words in Mk 2:23-28 are perfectly harmonious with His Word in Ex 20:8 and Deu 23:24-25.
Mt 5:17
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
The Church-Age
Christians are never taught to keep the Sabbath.
Col 3:23-24 [Amplified]
Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.
The Church-Age
Christians are never taught to keep the Sabbath.

Mocking the Poor Insults God
To mock the creature is to insult the Creator, for it is the Creator who made the creature (ref: Ps 139:14; Is 44:24).
Ps 139:13-16 [Message]
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation!
Ps 139:13-16 [Message] (cont.)
You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Ps 139:13-16 [Message] (cont.)
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.
Mocking the Poor Insults God
To mock the creature is to insult the Creator, for it is the Creator who made the creature (ref: Ps 139:14; Is 44:24).
Ro 1:18-19
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness [actively, knowingly] suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
Mocking the Poor Insults God
To mock the creature is to insult the Creator, for it is the Creator who made the creature (ref: Ps 139:14; Is 44:24).
1Sa 17:36
“Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted the armies of the living God.”
Pr 14:20-21 [Amplified Classic]
The poor is hated even by his own neighbor, but the rich has many friends. He who despises his neighbor sins [against God, his fellowman, and himself], but happy (blessed and fortunate) is he who is kind and merciful to the poor.
