And Jesus Himself, as the Great Shepherd, is willing to leave the 99 “healthy” sheep (Prov 20:9, Rom 3:10) on the hill to go search for the one who is lost and has no hope! – Is that you? It was me, and it was many of us at one time. But the point is that He would have come into this world to die 4 only 1! That’s the heart of God in Jesus Christ!
The greater the sacrifice, the greater the love!
He left behind the perfect, loving environment of the Trinity to enter into vulnerable, limited flesh in an unloving, dark world!
Perspective at Christmas: Our God, THE God of the universe, unselfishly went from being the greatest to the least, out of His great mercy and love!
Good perspective may cause us pain, but since it is righteous, it is good.
Truly showing love involves laying down your life for others who truly need mercy.
